[A62] DE TOULOUSE (31) VERS MONTAUBAN (82) 19.07.2014

Two yellow-orange balls were observed for a few minutes at 22:45 on a weekend night. This strongly suggested sky lanterns, probably released nearby after a private party. Their observed movement was very slight; the witnesses were in a car approaching from the south. This was consistent with the light southerly wind recorded at Montauban. GEIPAN classified the case B as a probable sky lantern sighting. A similar sighting occurred at the same time in Bruguières (31), and the two may have had the same origin.
