From his garden, a witness saw an unknown object apparently formed by 3 balls of light in a triangle. They brightened before vanishing as though accelerating sharply.
GEIPAN considers orange balls rapidly crossing the sky suggestive of sky lanterns released nearby after a private celebration. Their west-to-north movement matches the light southwesterly wind recorded at Caen.
