Case description
At 23:00, witnesses saw about 10 red objects pass silently through the sky.
GEIPAN considers red or orange balls visible for several minutes late on a Saturday suggestive of lanterns released after a celebration. Lyon-Bron weather records show very light, highly variable wind, preventing a reliable direction comparison. The slow movement nevertheless fits light wind.
The case is classified B: probable sky lanterns.
