On 28 August 2014 at 05:00, a witness watched for 10 minutes between 2 clumps of trees as a dark circular mass with a light at its center moved silently. Several rows of groups of smaller dark masses preceded and followed it. The investigation found no match with common misidentifications—aircraft, satellites, clouds or light displays—although some details suggested them. The case has definite strangeness, but the observed movements show no indication of intention. Evidential support is good: a gendarmerie statement and field investigation confirmed the account (see the investigation report). GEIPAN classifies the case D1: unexplained, with good evidence and moderate-to-high strangeness.
