On 17 September 2014 at 21:03, a witness at home filmed an intriguing multicolored light moving along a curved path. The observation lasted about 2 minutes before it disappeared. No other account was collected. Weather was unsettled, with wind direction reversing between 20:00 and 21:00. The video has all the characteristics of a maneuvering helicopter: a white strobe flashing once per second, typical of aircraft at night. As its orientation changed, it showed first 1 light, then 2, along with a green navigation light on its right side. GEIPAN did not request air-traffic-control confirmation in time. It classifies this low-strangeness case B: strong presumption of a helicopter maneuvering over Bayonne.
