MONTAUBAN (82) 27.09.2014

In Montauban (82), in the case dated 27 September 2014, a witness saw a round yellow-orange light cross the night sky silently in 2 minutes. GEIPAN finds a few-minute orange-ball passage on a weekend night strongly suggestive of a sky lantern, probably released nearby after a private celebration. Northeast-to-northwest travel is considered compatible with winds varying from southeast to northeast recorded at Montauban; see the weather record. The case is classified B: probable sky lantern.
