On 3 October 2014 at 05:28, a witness noticed an intriguing yellow-orange luminous phenomenon, described as a ball of fire, passing silently across the sky. The investigation report documented movement with the wind, a predominantly yellow-orange color, the impression of a burning object, steady movement and no sound. GEIPAN therefore concluded that it was probably a sky lantern carried by the wind and classified the case B.
