On 19 October 2014 at about 20:30, a witness and his brother-in-law saw a dark triangular shape with red lights at its corners pass silently over the garden. The 3 points first moved in a line, then formed a dark triangle. The witnesses left the observation site. Only 1 account was collected. The investigation report identifies several features compatible with 3 sky lanterns: the UAP might have consisted of 3 independent objects rather than a single solid one; its straight path resembles movement in a steady wind; its red colour resembles lanterns; it was silent; the duration fits a lantern’s operating life; and the weekend date was suitable for celebrations, weddings and similar releases. However, the azimuths of its movement are missing. GEIPAN rates evidential support as weak: the account is imprecise, lacks essential direction-of-travel information, comes from a single reporting witness and includes no photograph. It considers the observation only slightly unusual because the objects’ behaviour and appearance are ultimately ordinary. GEIPAN classifies the case C for lack of information and corroboration.
