FONTAINES-SUR-SAONE (69) 03.11.2014

In Fontaines-sur-Saône (69) on 3 November 2014, a witness filmed several white lights moving silently in a pattern that seemed to form 1 large object in the sky. GEIPAN traced this exceptional sighting to the spectacular light show arranged for the Schuman Bridge inauguration over the Saône in Lyon on 5 November 2014; the source references “Le pont Shuman inauguré.” The production company confirmed a rehearsal on Monday evening 3 November, 2 days before the inauguration. The unusual effects reported by the witnesses resulted from projections onto low clouds driven by a strong southerly wind. GEIPAN classifies the case A: explained by a light show.
