On 31 January 2015 at about 17:45, 2 children in separate rooms of their home in Loudéac (22) saw the same unknown phenomenon through their windows: a gray oval with colored lights moving low and close to the house. They told their mother a few seconds apart. Their father completed a questionnaire for both, and each child independently drew the sighting. No other account was collected. An on-site investigation followed; see the investigation notes. GEIPAN finds the description consistent with an edge-on view of a flat, oval drone fitted with multicolored LEDs, with probable errors in estimating its distance and size. The accounts are very brief but considered reliable and relatively independent: although brother and sister, the children were in different rooms. GEIPAN considers the observation only slightly unusual. Following information from a drone pilot, H1, encountered during neighborhood inquiries on 25 April 2015, the investigation proposes class B: very probable observation of an LED-lit drone, with mistaken estimates of distance and dimensions. Had its owner been able to confirm flying on 31 January 2015, the case would have been classified A.
