On 12 May 2015, a witness in Albi (81) decided to watch the sky after reading a local newspaper report of a fireball on 9 May. At about 22:45 in his garden, he observed a luminous phenomenon with his mother and a female neighbor for about 15 minutes and made a video. Only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN judges the unusualness very low. Apart from the witness's uncorroborated statements, nothing visible in the video is unusual; see the investigation report and video. The footage appears to show a streetlamp in front of his home through tree foliage. Camera movement makes the lamp alternately visible and partly or wholly obscured by leaves. The commentary increases GEIPAN's doubts about the video's validity. The account has very low evidential strength, with little usable information beyond the video. The questionnaire was improperly or only very briefly completed. GEIPAN classifies the case as A: a hoax.
