During an outdoor celebration, about 20 people saw white luminous patches move slowly and silently through the night sky. One witness submitted an account and video. GEIPAN considers lights crossing the sky over a few minutes on a weekend night suggestive of sky lanterns, probably released nearby after a private celebration. North-to-south movement matches the northerly wind recorded at Lyon-Bron (see Météociel). The good-quality video conclusively confirms the explanation: the lights move together but are not connected, and some visibly go out. The case is classified A: sky lanterns.
