In the Saint-Jorioz (74) case dated 4 July 2015, a witness reported watching a bright point each evening from 21:45, soon followed by a dimmer one. He did not say how long this had been recurring. The points moved slowly together and disappeared behind the landscape. GEIPAN considers prolonged, repeated lights indicative of ordinary stars or planets. A sky-chart check places Venus and Jupiter exactly along his viewing direction. The source regrets that, despite his advanced university education, the witness did not himself consider an astronomical explanation, and attributes this to excessive influence from television UFO programmes.
