On Tuesday, 21 July 2015 at 23:00, a witness saw a fiery orange flying object move rapidly and silently in a straight line across the night sky for 10–15 seconds. Only 1 account was collected. Based on the evidence in the investigation report, GEIPAN classified the case B as a probable sky lantern sighting. Supporting features were its lantern-like orange color; a rounded shape resembling a distant lantern; movement with the prevailing wind; a short 10–15-second sighting considered compatible with a lantern's lifetime; and the absence of sound.
