CONDE-SUR-AISNE (02) 06.08.2015

Around 22:00 on 6 August 2015, a witness briefly looked through a roof window at Condé-sur-Aisne (02) and saw a stationary grey triangle with orange-red lights at each corner. It then appeared to shoot straight west at great speed. No other accounts were collected. GEIPAN notes that an apparent triangle joining 3 lights often arises from an illusory contour or Gestalt perception; the source refers to information on the psychology of form. It thought the witness very probably saw only separate lights. Similarly, their extinction could be interpreted as a departure at phenomenal speed. Lanterns, aircraft and satellites were possible origins, but the sighting was too brief and the time window too broad for a reasonable investigation. Météociel recorded light northerly wind at Reims. GEIPAN classified the case C for insufficient precise information and corroboration.
