On 14 October 2015 at 23:31, a witness saw repeated flashes in a clearly identified area of sky. He checked Heavens-Above but found no matching Iridium flare or satellite passage. GEIPAN rates strangeness as moderate and evidential support as sufficient. It considers a very high satellite rotating relatively rapidly without attitude control the probable explanation. Reconstruction places 5 or 6 possible satellites in that area. The source proposes monitoring their passes to identify which produced the flashes. The case is classified B: probable misidentification of reflections from a very high-altitude satellite.
