Case description
At about 2:35 a.m. on June 15, 1967, two people near a factory in Caledonia, Ontario, reported two stationary objects on or close to the ground. One was disc-shaped and the other cigar-shaped. Their observation reportedly continued for approximately twenty minutes, giving them time to describe both the objects and activity beside the longer one.
Three occupants, each estimated to be under four feet tall, moved around outside the cigar. The witnesses described light-colored uniforms and helmets carrying four lights. The longer object was compared in size to a transport aircraft and was said to have four windows, an antenna with a red light, and additional colored lights. It subsequently rose roughly thirty feet, banked near a gypsum pile, and moved southwest behind trees; a later orange object was also reported ascending.
A burned area, disturbed grass and an oily material were reported at the site. These are historical trace claims, rather than a demonstrated connection to a spacecraft. NICAP cites a June 19 letter from Cuneo and the November–December 1967 APRO Bulletin. The occupants’ faces were not specified, so the illustration emphasizes their small stature, uniforms and illuminated helmets.
