SAINT-CORNEILLE (72) 06.06.2016

On Monday 6 June 2016 at about 21:30, a witness watched a large cloud-like white point with a white trail for more than 10 minutes. Through binoculars it seemed composed of several dozen objects. It gradually faded away. GEIPAN considers the description not particularly unusual and compatible with 1 or more aircraft, the witness’s initial interpretation. Aircraft were close together in the south-southeast. However, the witness did not respond to requests for further information, especially angular elevation, or to make a statement at a gendarmerie station under its agreement with GEIPAN. No hypothesis could therefore be pursued further. The case is classified C for lack of information.
