On 4 September 2016 at 07:45, a witness in a seventh-floor kitchen saw a very bright white UAP repeatedly appear and disappear in a cloudy sky. It remained stationary throughout the total 45-second observation. Only 1 account was collected.
Both strangeness and evidential support are low: 1 witness and a short sighting. The investigation identifies a probable misidentification of the Sun (see the investigation report).
Despite extensive cloud cover, satellite images show gaps in the viewing direction, consistent with appearances and gradual fading. The summary describes abrupt extinction, while the analysis describes progressive disappearances. The direction and appearance strongly match the Sun, but uncertainty about the UAP's elevation prevents certainty.
The case is classified B: probable Sun misidentification.
