SAINT-EUTROPE-DE-BORN (47) 15.03.2017

On 15 March 2017 at 16:30, a witness in his garden in Saint-Eutrope-de-Born (47) noticed an unusual stationary cloud. He lost sight of the UAP briefly, then saw it again, much larger and moving. He described its upper part as the top of a saucer, colored white, black and gray. It then disappeared while flying very low toward Montflanquin and Fumel at very high speed. Only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN judges the evidential strength very low, with very little information. The narrative had to be reconstructed mainly from drawings in the questionnaire; see the investigation report. It considered a field visit to meet the witness and strengthen the evidence but concluded that this would not yield more reliable information. Although there are potentially usable estimates of altitude, size and duration, they are confused and inconsistent. GEIPAN classifies the case as C: insufficient information for detailed study.
