VANNES (56) 07.12.2018

Around 17:00 on Friday 7 December 2018, a witness in Vannes photographed clouds while waiting for his child to return from school. On the first photograph, 3 bright points forming a triangle caught his attention. They appeared to move east. He took more photographs, then stopped when his son arrived. He sent the images to GEIPAN; only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN notes that he noticed the 3 white points near a cloud only in the photograph after zooming in. It considered the triangular arrangement of round shapes the likely source of his surprise, since other small cloud wisps of varying shapes were visible nearby. In another image he drew attention to wisps that were no longer as round as those first noticed. GEIPAN explains that small cloud formations naturally change shape and position rapidly, whether isolated or beside larger clouds. It classified the case A: observation of clouds.
