On February 13, 2019, at about 9 p.m., witnesses at home heard an intense droning noise and saw a dark inverted-V-shaped mass with lights pass low overhead. Each observation lasted less than a minute. It moved slowly along a straight path; the sound continued briefly after it was lost to view. An on-site investigation clarified the location, bearings and time. CNOA radar data showed low-flying military traffic near the witnesses at 8:07 p.m. UTC, or 9:07 p.m. local time. GEIPAN suggested an A400M in the context of replacement of Transall C-160 aircraft, while the demonstrated identification was low-flying military traffic. It classified the case A: military aircraft.
