NANCY (54) 01.09.2021

At 05:13 on 1 September 2021, a woman looking through a ground-floor window at home in Nancy (54) saw an extremely bright white oval UAP. It crossed her view in 3–4 seconds, heading as if to land near Les Grands Moulins de Paris in Nancy. FRIPON data identified a fireball crossing at precisely that time; see the attached investigation material. Azimuths reconstructed from her photographs matched its path. Its roughly 19° elevation fitted the window's field of view, and magnitude −4.7 matched the extreme brightness. GEIPAN assessed the account as precise and well supported. The intensity, size and particularly the speed and movement that surprised her were compatible with a fireball. It classified the case A: fireball.
