During the night of 4–5 September 2021, between about 23:50 and 00:40, 2 people in a garden in Orgon (13) watched a moving point of light followed by around 100 others. Each followed the same path: straight to a point overhead, then turning. Only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN judges the unusualness low and the evidential strength good, with 2 witnesses, a single account and photographs. It identifies LED balloons released for a wedding; see the investigation report. The photographs strongly suggest a group of illuminated balloons moving together. A Saturday around midnight is described as a typical time for wedding balloon or lantern releases, and the trajectory matched the wind. The UAP's direction corresponded to a wedding venue only a few hundred meters away. Its manager confirmed that an LED-balloon release had taken place at the observation time.
