SAVIGNY-LE-TEMPLE (77) 05.10.2021

On 5 October 2021 at 22:47, a witness in Savigny-le-Temple (77) observed moving white points of light in the night sky. Only 1 account was collected. Despite a video, the account cannot be analysed because much information is missing, particularly initial and final azimuths and elevations, and whether the UAPs actually moved and, if so, along what trajectories; see the investigation report. The witness also called the observation both continuous and intermittent without clarification, and its ending was not clearly defined. The video suggests scintillation of stars or a planet, but GEIPAN lacks the viewing elevation and azimuth needed to confirm this. Low strangeness does not compensate for the poor evidential substance: the white lights could be entirely familiar, identifiable phenomena, but cannot be specified further without more detail. The witness did not answer the investigator's requests for clarification. The case is classified C: substantial missing data prevent a conclusion.
