BAGNERES-DE-BIGORRE (65) 23.09.2022

On 23 September 2022 between 01:20 and 01:30, a witness staying in Bagnères-de-Bigorre (65) for a spa treatment saw a very bright UAP through a window. Initially thinking it was the Moon, the witness approached the window after 5 minutes and saw a pale-yellow luminous ball with a thin brown-and-yellow border move horizontally left. It seemed to float at the witness's eye level above the street, then disappeared after a brief moment. This closer observation lasted about 5 seconds. Only 1 account was collected. GEIPAN received no response to contact attempts and no further information through a technical questionnaire, so the investigation relies solely on the gendarmerie report. Essential information is missing, including azimuths, elevations, trajectory, brightness, apparent size and sound. The case is therefore classified C: unidentified because of insufficient data.
