Case description
On the evening of July 17, 1967, E. Browne reportedly encountered an unusual object while walking in woods near his home in the Belfast area of Northern Ireland. HUMCAT's fuller entry describes a dish-shaped object about the size of a car, hovering around eight feet above the ground. Its surface was said to be dull blue, rough and pitted.
An opening reportedly appeared in the center of its underside. Two silvery-suited, manlike figures descended slowly to the ground and walked into the woods. After several minutes they returned and drifted upward into the object. It then rose silently and disappeared from sight. No conversation, contact with Browne or detailed facial description is provided in the located summaries.
HUMCAT cites Flying Saucer Review 13/6, page 31, describing its source as a first-hand witness report. That identifies a reporting chain but does not independently establish a landing, occupants or unusual propulsion. The Atlas source material also includes an unrelated 1967 Blue Book observation from Wapello, Iowa; its location, date and description do not corroborate Belfast and are excluded here. The reconstruction follows the wooded setting, small dish and two suited figures, while treating their faces, garment construction and precise arrangement as artistic approximations.
