Open this case in the interactive AtlasCase description
On 27 March 2023 between 05:50 and 06:08, a witness outside his home in Mont-Saint-Jean saw an unusual line of white points of light, spaced more or less equally. It moved slowly and disappeared from view toward the east. One account was collected. When contacted by GEIPAN, the witness said his son had helped him identify the phenomenon and confirmed that he believed he had seen Starlink satellites. He declined to submit a questionnaire answering GEIPAN's requests for clarification. GEIPAN notes that Starlink satellites travel west to east and reports an inconsistency with the direction stated in the official gendarmerie report, although the opening narrative itself describes an eastward disappearance. GEIPAN classifies the case as C: insufficient information.
