BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT (92) 11.12.2023

On 11 December 2023 at about 19:10, a woman talking on the seventh floor of a building in Boulogne-Billancourt (92) saw 5 bright balls of different colors moving through the sky beyond a large window. They formed geometric figures and also followed random paths. She took out her phone to film, then went onto the balcony to continue watching. She heard no sound. The lights appeared to be above the Parc de Saint-Cloud. The sky was fairly clear with little wind. She watched intermittently for about 10 minutes before the objects disappeared. GEIPAN assesses the case as having low unusualness and good evidential strength, with 2 witnesses but only 1 account and videos of the UAP. Under its criteria, evidential strength is the amount of information considered reliable that is collected for an account. The description and appearance closely match drones: changing colors, apparently coordinated movement into geometric patterns, and simultaneous switching on and off. An internet search found that a display of 1, 000 drones took place from the Parc de Saint-Cloud the following day in the viewing direction. Contacted by email, the organizer, Magic Drone, examined the supplied photographs and confirmed that the sighting was a rehearsal for that aerial show; see its attached confirmation.
