On 25 November 2024 at 04:40, a witness at home in Mitry-Mory (Seine-et-Marne, 77) saw circular green lights against a cloudy sky. They moved back and forth, gradually spread out and disappeared. The event lasted about 30 seconds, of which 11 seconds were filmed. The video accompanied the witness questionnaire and could be analyzed; see appendix 1. GEIPAN considers the evidential basis good, with 1 witness and usable video. The witness's reaction was mainly curiosity to understand the sighting. Under GEIPAN's criteria, evidential consistency means the amount of reliable, objectively supported information collected for an account. GEIPAN favors a sky tracer, a light-show projector aimed upward. The round spots fit beams from a ground projector striking a cloud layer; their movements in various directions fit automated projector motion; Météociel data confirm complete cloud cover of 8/8 oktas, as shown in appendix 2; and the video shows diffuse green spots. However, no public information identified a sky tracer in the viewing direction. GEIPAN therefore classifies the case B: probable observation of a sky tracer.
