LUGNY-CHAMPAGNE (18) 08.04.2025

At 00:22 on the night of 7–8 April 2025, a resident of Lugny-Champagne (18) was observing the Moon through a telescope from the entrance to his home. A large shadow crossed his field of view. He described a shadow with an impression of transparency rather than seeing a physical object between himself and the Moon. It lasted about 1 second. No other account was collected. GEIPAN considers the evidence weak: 1 witness and a fleeting, indirect view through a telescope. The dark appearance and apparent size suggest an animal, such as a bird, insect or bat, crossing between telescope and Moon.
