On 14 May 2025 at 22:19, 2 witnesses on a terrace in Nice saw a red spherical light with an apparent size comparable to the solar disk. It followed an irregular, non-straight path with marked speed changes. The silent observation lasted more than 1 minute before the light gradually faded.
