Aiun Island / Unamatana bright-light report — about July 1965

A coded radio message received on 7 August 1965 records a report by G.F. Watkins from roughly three weeks earlier. During a mid-evening period of heavy rain, Watkins shone a torch to check an anchored dinghy and saw a bright, large light apparently in or on the sea west of Aiun Island, viewed from a creek west of Unamatana village. The message states that there were no other witnesses. No later motion or resolution is preserved in the source fragment.
