Calgary, Alberta abduction report — November 19, 1967

A teenage boy walking home in Calgary, Alberta, saw a silver-gray object with flashing, multicoloured lights around its middle. NICAP dates this report to November 19, 1967, at about 5:45 p.m., and describes the witness as fourteen. The object made a high-pitched sound, and the frightened boy ran home. He then discovered an unexplained interval of approximately forty-five minutes. The subsequent account included recollections, developed during hypnosis, of being taken aboard the object. The brief NICAP entry does not give the details of that examination or identify the hypnotist. The case is referenced to Yuri Bondarchuk's UFO Sightings, Landings and Abductions, pages 83–88. A parallel Calgary account names David Sewalt, uses November 17 and gives a different teenage age. The two catalogue versions share the walk home, unusual sound, illuminated object and forty-five-minute interval. Their date and age differences remain visible rather than being silently resolved.
