Deputy abduction report — December 8, 1967

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on December 8, 1967, a woman in Deputy, Indiana, reported seeing a large orange object shaped like a bowl. She said the object lifted her and that she subsequently experienced confusion about elapsed time. She also reported bodily effects, without a specific injury or medical finding being described. Later experiences included visits by small beings and marks that she found on her body. Francis Ridge's 1994 account, cited in the NICAP chronology, connects the initial object and lifting report with those later experiences. It does not supply a detailed interior scene, the beings' actions during an examination or a description of how she returned to the ground.
