West Leisenring disc-shaped object report — May 21, 1971

At about 1:10 a.m. on May 21, 1971, a motorist returning home near West Leisenring, Pennsylvania, rounded a rural bend and reported a saucer-shaped object hovering around twenty feet above the ground. It had a dome, a projecting antenna-like feature and an opening illuminated with orange-red light. After watching for approximately two minutes, he said he saw a human-sized figure moving back and forth in the opening. Its clothing appeared grey-white and metallic, with a hood covering the head. The fuller catalogue account goes beyond this initial sighting: it describes a similar figure near the car, a clicking or explosive sound, an impact that threw the driver across the interior, and the vehicle moving forward as he escaped. A later hospital visit and pellet-like wounds became part of the reported aftermath.
