Valcourt, Quebec spherical-object report — July 27, 1971

A Valcourt farmer reportedly interrupted his television viewing around 8:30 p.m. on July 27, 1971, after hearing his cattle bellowing in a nearby field. In the fuller account attributed to François Bourbeau's Spectra material, he and his wife went outside and saw the cows running away. A dark spherical object was hovering over the pasture, with reddish light showing through what appeared to be an open doorway. Three small humanlike figures, glowing pale green, allegedly moved rapidly around the object. Their motion was described as gliding just above the ground, with occasional bending or picking at the surface. They then went inside, the opening closed, and the sphere rose slowly before disappearing beyond nearby trees. The account supplies no clear facial or clothing details for the figures. A circular, spiral-like ground mark and a silvery lump were reportedly found the following day. Later summaries say the material was tested at Laval University, but the recovered catalogue account provides no analytical result or documented chain of custody. That testing claim does not establish an unusual composition.
