Case description
On September 9, 1973, several young people reportedly saw an object land in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. The account's most distinctive detail is that ten large black hairy dogs, or creatures resembling dogs, emerged and ran through the cemetery. INTCAT gives a nighttime observation, about 10 p.m., and includes children and youths among the witnesses without providing a reliable exact count.
The surviving summary does not describe humanlike visitors, speech, an abduction or injured animals. It gives little detail about the object itself. No traces were reportedly found. The canine description should remain intact rather than being converted into humanoid occupants or evidence of animal mutilation simply because the event appears in an entity catalogue.
INTCAT traces the account to David Webb's 1973 humanoid-wave study, The UFO Register and September 1973 newspaper coverage. A later overview circulated in 1999 says local authorities regarded it as a hoax, but the original police finding was not retrieved here. That is a documented later statement about suspicion, not an established confession. The plate is labeled as a contested historical report, with ordinary healthy doglike animals, representative observers and an indistinct object. Its visual arrangement does not imply independent confirmation of a cemetery landing.
