Case description
The Magnolia, Mississippi, entry is dated October 10, 1973. Its preserved NICAP description concerns a round, shiny metallic object on or near the ground. Something rectangular, approximately the size of a small person, reportedly emerged. The summary does not identify the observer, provide a reliable witness count or give a time of day.
The rectangular form was said to return to the object, after which the object took off. That is the entire supported action sequence in the located account. A comparison with the size of a person does not establish a body with a head, arms, legs or a face. It likewise does not justify calling the form a robot, a suited human or a familiar alien type. No speech, sampling activity or direct interaction is recorded.
NICAP cites The UFO Evidence, volume II, page 341. A fuller original case report was not retrieved, so distances, duration, landing marks and object construction remain unspecified. The famous Pascagoula account occurred in a different Mississippi locality the following day; its occupant descriptions cannot fill these gaps. The plate consequently labels the report limited, keeps the rectangular form featureless and uses a representative observer and contextual field setting. Its twilight lighting is an artistic choice, not a documented observation time.
