Case description
A woman near Russell Springs reportedly encountered two small figures while going outside to feed her dogs on the morning of October 23, 1973. They were in her carport. The fuller catalogue account describes them as about three feet tall, red in colour, and moving as though walking on tiptoe. It supplies no clear description of their faces or hands.
After looking toward the woman for a short time, the figures walked around the side of the house. She said they entered a bright object on the ground whose shape reminded her of a washing tub. It then rose, passed directly over the house, and disappeared. The domestic setting and that unusual shape comparison are central to this report; a conventional disc with a large transparent dome would be a later artistic addition.
Sheriff Wendell Wilson reportedly investigated and noted disturbance of the grass and ground, as well as the witness’s frightened condition. The source trail includes the local Times Journal, David Webb’s 1973 humanoid catalogue, and Ted Phillips’s physical-trace compilation. The reported disturbance is not accompanied here by a conclusive material analysis. No conversation, missing-time interval, or claimed taking aboard is described.
