Sidrolandia entity encounter — November 19, 1973

Farmer João Rodrigues Terra and his farmhand Djalma da Silva Faques reported a vehicle encounter near Sidrolândia in 1973. David Webb’s catalogue dates it November 19 and cites a Brazilian SBEDV bulletin and O Dia coverage. Later retellings contain inconsistent month labels, so the catalogue date is retained with that reporting limitation. The men said a low white cloud preceded a bright orange, oval object approximately twelve metres across, hovering about one metre above the ground. It appeared metallic, had raised sections above and below, changed colour and projected a fan-shaped beam upwards. As their pickup struggled to start and then move, the object reportedly paced them at close range. Faques, the passenger, described a small humanlike figure inside; the summary supplies no resolved facial features. The truck reportedly ran normally after the object departed, although its new battery failed several days later. Temporal association is not a mechanical demonstration that the object caused the failure. The plate shows both men in their pickup, the coloured oval and an indistinct interior figure, with the upward beam retained. Vehicle details, witness likenesses and precise craft structure are illustrative.
