Metcalf abduction report — June 18, 1974

Around midnight on June 18, 1974, an elderly farmer near Metcalf, Illinois, reported an object landing in a soybean field. His son's account of a taking associated with that period did not become known until roughly twelve years later, in the spring of 1986. The son described memories that returned naturally, rather than through a hypnotic session. In those recollections, he was taken into a craft and subjected to a procedure in which semen was removed. He presented this as the beginning of a series of experiences. The account appears in Don Worley's files as summarized in the NICAP chronology. The farmer's reported observation of the object and the son's much later recollections are separate parts of the case; no further description of the occupants, onboard setting or immediate return is given.
