Wausau unidentified-object report — April 6, 1975

At about two in the morning on April 6, 1975, eighteen-year-olds Rod Seagraves and Mike Lewandowski were driving west on Highway A from Wausau toward Athens, Wisconsin. Their CB radio stopped functioning. Mike then noticed a pulsating silver-grey object about 1,500 feet north of the road, on or just above the ground. Its underside appeared flat and its upper surface domed. After watching for roughly five minutes, they noticed a dark vertical shape about a hundred feet away near the road. It was compared to a seven-foot tree trunk. Mike thought it moved slowly, and they drove westward. On returning, they reportedly found the luminous object still present but the trunklike form gone. The available description does not give the form eyes, limbs, clothing or any definite nonhuman anatomy; “entity” is a catalogue interpretation of an unresolved observation. Back in Wausau, the pair parked behind a restaurant and fell asleep around three. They later reported waking at 6:30 with the car in another position, dirt on themselves and an apparent fuel discrepancy.
