Case description
NICAP dates this truck-and-disc encounter near Pleasanton, Texas to 5 May 1975, about 9:20 p.m. Its short Schuessler-derived entry describes a domed object at ground level, two interior figures, blinding light and numb hands during a roughly two-minute episode. Another injury catalogue names Alois J. Olenick and describes an object hovering above his truck at 9:15 p.m.
That identification leads to a much fuller report by investigator Gary Graber in Skylook, February 1976. It dates Olenick's encounter to 3 May on Mogford Road south of San Antonio. Olenick, forty-eight, was driving his 1959 Chevrolet pickup toward a shop when an amber object rose from trees and approached rapidly, its front light turning cherry red. He said his engine and lights failed when it hovered above him.
The object appeared globular, with a possible shelf-like ring and a clear upper bubble lit red inside. As it tilted toward him, he saw two short, wiry figures: bald, with long prominent ears, long noses, narrow eyes and grey skin compared with sharkskin. One seemed occupied with controls while the other watched him. He described ten to twenty seconds of close hovering, loud wind, a burnt-electrical smell and a sudden upward departure that buffeted the truck.
The similarities suggest a possible duplicate or dating/location error, but the reviewed sources do not settle the relationship. The plate is explicitly labelled as the Olenick version. Neither the reported vehicle failure nor later eyestrain establishes an unknown physical mechanism or a clinical diagnosis.
