Alamogordo abduction report — August 13, 1975

At about 1:20 a.m. on August 13, 1975, Charles Moody, then thirty-two, was driving through the desert near Alamogordo, New Mexico, when he encountered a metallic disc-shaped object. The sighting interrupted an otherwise ordinary night journey. Moody subsequently experienced a lapse in memory or awareness lasting approximately an hour and a half. He could not initially supply a continuous account of that interval. Later, he recalled being taken by two small grey humanoid figures, each described as roughly 4 feet 8 inches tall. The available catalogue outline separates the sighting and recognized time gap from the later remembered taking experience. It does not retain every stage of the interior sequence or the original process by which Moody recovered his memories. His account nevertheless developed into a named, extensively discussed case, with later interviews and presentations recounting the desert encounter and its aftermath.
