Buffalo entity encounter — August 26, 1975

Sandra Larson, thirty-two, her daughter Jackie, fifteen, and Jackie's boyfriend were travelling from Fargo toward Bismarck early on August 26, 1975. Near Buffalo, they reportedly heard a thunderlike rumble and saw eight orange luminous spheres descend and stop in the sky. Some then rose again; catalogue versions differ over the number. Sandra described the car seeming motionless, Jackie unexpectedly finding herself in the rear seat, and an apparent hour-long discrepancy noticed at a gas station. The humanoid description belongs to Sandra's later hypnotic sessions, investigated by Jerome Clark and R. Leo Sprinkle. She described being floated from the car into an object and encountering a six-foot figure with a tape-wrapped, mummy-like head, visible eyes, luminous head and shoulders, long metallic-looking arms and a brown vinyl-like body. Her account included a claimed surgical examination, which remains a recollection obtained under hypnosis rather than an independently documented procedure. The brief imported summary joins the lights and being without explaining that change of evidential context. This expanded record keeps them separate: a shared roadside light report is not independent confirmation of Sandra's later interior narrative.
