Case description
Ghulam-Reza Bazargani, nineteen, reportedly encountered an object while walking in woodland near Chalus, Iran, in April 1976. The HUMCAT account dates the encounter to April 2. He said that the object stopped overhead and that he became unable to move as four figures descended by a silvery ladder.
Bazargani described being taken into an enclosure where an instrument passed coloured light over him. He said that he lost consciousness and next became aware near Isfahan, far south of Chalus, early on April 4. The catalogue also mentions his missing wristwatch. These are elements of his reported recollection rather than a continuously observed journey.
HUMCAT cites Kayhan International of April 7 and Etelaat of April 8, supplied through John Schuessler. Those newspaper dates help explain why abbreviated retellings have differing April dates. The Atlas retains the separate imported records while making the source conflict visible. The plate depicts the woodland approach, avoiding an invented examination scene or a verified claim about the route to Isfahan.
