The usual catalogue date for Fidel Hernández Rollán’s Matapozuelos account is April 23, 1976, around 11:15 p.m. He was fourteen and reportedly playing outside with friends when a reddish object descended near a field and low wall. The other boys withdrew, while Fidel said he remained behind the wall to watch. Some later television descriptions instead place the story in summer 1974; the discrepancy is retained rather than silently resolved. In the fuller narrative, the object was oval and red, with thick supports, a transparent dome and a whistling sound. An opening reportedly exposed illuminated controls. Three very tall humanlike men emerged, described as having shoulder-length white hair, oblique eyes, fitted white clothing, belts and ankle bands. The figures allegedly returned to the object, which rose amid a strong red light.
