NICAP's chronology lists a humanoid report at Rising Sun, Indiana, on 12 April 1977, citing “EGBA,680.” Its editor adds that this was probably the same as the Henschen case, but the brief entry itself supplies no witness or event details. That proposed identification should remain qualified. The adjacent Henschen account describes a couple returning to their trailer with a baby when the husband saw an exceptionally tall hairy creature with glowing red eyes. It allegedly struck their car as they left. On the following night a similar figure was reported near a tree; the husband fired at it before it disappeared from view. A later investigator's account names Tom and Connie Courter, places the incident on Henschen Road between Aurora and Rising Sun and describes black hair, a humanlike head and unusually long arms. The investigator cautioned that size and distance estimates were probably exaggerated. Schaffner’s later retrospective places his southeastern Indiana investigation in April 1977. An online archive files the earlier article under 1980, a publication or cataloguing date that should not automatically move the event; the exact catalogue match still merits original-publication verification. Police reportedly found no supporting trace, whereas investigators described damaged vegetation and a dented car, without establishing a cause. No craft is described.
