Case description

Ignacio Sánchez Muñoz, 19, reportedly saw a hovering luminous cube on a cloudy evening on May 15, 1978, after finishing work at a restaurant. The location is given in catalogues as between Caujimolpa and Obregon, Mexico. Cuajimalpa, a Mexico City district, is a likely spelling correction, but the second place and exact route remain uncertain. The cube was described as multicolored, making a buzzing sound and projecting a yellow beam. Muñoz said he received thoughts or a voice telling him the object was empty and that humanlike beings would arrive on Earth. The reported exchange lasted about an hour and ended with a promise of another conversation. No visible occupant, physical encounter or observed landing is described. The source chain leads to an Allan Hendry item in International UFO Reporter 3/7, July 1978, with later catalogues disagreeing over its page number. Patrick Gross compares those retellings and questions the story's credibility and uncertain geography; the original passage was not retrieved here. An alleged telepathic message is therefore retained as the witness's claim, not independent evidence of invisible beings or an impending arrival. The plate shows Muñoz and an empty luminous cube, without inventing occupants, thought-bubble aliens or a specific unverified route.
